PHILLIPS, Russell (Nig)

Passed away on 28th September 2026, surrounded by his beloved whânau, aged 66 years. Dearly loved son of the late Nellie and Bonny Phillips. Much loved brother of Don and Sheryl, Dolly, Ron, Mare, Muff and Sandy, and the late John, Alec (Chippy), and Betty (Shorty). Loved father of Samantha, and the late Kerry, Luke and Lloyd. Adored Koro to Kayla, Riley and the late Kieran. Very much loved friend and Uncle to all his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all. RIP Arohanui Nig. The tangihanga will be held at Te Papatapu Marae on Te Papatapu Rd. The funeral service for Nig will be held at the Marae on Thursday, 1st October at 11:00am, followed by burial at Mâkaka Urupâ.
